The Camembert Quartet became famous for being Ryan Tubridy’s House band on Tubridy Tonight (RTE, Saturday Nights), yet the Camembert Quartet are an Irish original-a satirical Roll and Roll Band whose sharp and hilarious lyrics take on the pomposities of the Irish and International Music Scenes. Drawing from their first two albums, ‘Music Is War’ and ‘Sell Out’, and in their guise as a Cheesy Five-Piece Cabaret Quartet, the group lets nobody off the hook, be it Singer-Songwriters, Political Leaders, Boybands or Students. With an amazing 1 ½ -hour show -‘the Camembert Quartet Sell Out’- that displays brilliant virtuosity and comic timing, the Camembert Quartet have been described as the ‘Frank Zappas of Ireland’. It’s an utterly unique show, loved by anyone who sees it. The Camembert Quartet has just assumed a new position in 2009, as the house band on the longest running chat show in history, 'The Late Late Show'. As the Late Late Show House Band they have already brought a great energy to match Ryan Tubridy's new presenting role.
