Ladies day at Ladbrokes Munster national - 11th of October

It seems like only yesterday the Paul Nicholls trained Dear Villez ran out a 3 length winner of the €120,000 Ladbrokes.com Munster National from Mr Top Notch and Skip Two. Ridden eloquently by Ruby Walsh, it was the English Champion trainer’s first foray in Limerick.

We look forward to a high class renewal of the 2009 Ladbrokes.com Munster National, not to mention the other six high quality races which include a Grade 3 and Listed event. It is without question the finest National Hunt card in the racing calendar at Limerick and would be considered a must for any racing enthusiast. If the horses on show are somewhat of an appetiser for a day of entertainment, glamour and excitement, October 11th is most certainly the date to come as once again we entertain the ladies day.

The now annual Munster National ladies day has become an important feature in this historical race meeting and we are delighted to confirm that Keane’s Jewelers shall be presenting the 2009 Ladies Day Winner with an 18 Carat Gold diamond ring worth €5,000 from the exclusive collection at Keane’s Jewellers Limerick. Second prize is an exclusive €1,500 shopping voucher for the Joseph Ribkoff collection available in Isobel, Adare and third prize is a ladies day package for Rain Spa and Wellness Clinic at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Limerick. Gentlemen be aware that you will also be under the scrutiny of the judges with the winner receiving a Gentleman’s prize-Tissot T-Touch Expert Titanium Watch kindly sponsored by Keane’s Jewellers.

Judges include the ever stylist Celia Holman Lee, Laura Ryan, Patrick Keane and Kay Mulcaire. “We are thrilled to be on board this year supporting the Best Dressed Competition at the Munster National Day in Limerick. Going racing can be such a glamorous pastime that we see the link between Limerick Racecourse and ourselves as a perfect one” Patrick Keane commented at the recent launch.

At Limerick Racecourse we endeavour to cater for everyone during the course of a day’s racing, for this reason we have several additions to the Munster National Itinerary. €30 Family package, so bring the children along and enjoy our new FREE Kidz Club, which will give all parents some time to enjoy the delights of the racecourse while the children enjoy the activities devised by the Kidz Club. A shopping village will help to pass the time between races with items on sale ranging from crafts to antiques, situated adjacent to the stand it will provide the perfect backdrop for an action packed day. We are also delighted to have our media partners Limerick Now & Spin South West on board again this year
